A Day in the Life of Early Learning Educators is a sample schedule designed to provide an overall vision of how teachers and ECEs will work together, in a collaborative way, while respecting the terms and conditions of their respective collective agreements and contract provisions. The document provides examples of when the teacher has her preparation time and when the ECEs have a scheduled break while ensuring that one educator is never left alone with all the students. It envisages one, 40-minute joint planning period that is in addition to the preparation time provided by the teachers’ collective agreement.
